2026 Quinn's Hobbies Dirt Oval Classes and Rules (Updated 10-26)

2026 DIRT OVAL CLASSES AND RULES....

Other classes may be added with 4 or more entries.

ROOKIE: (10-26)

Any electric 2wd or 4wd 1/10 scale buggy or truck based vehicles only. 2s battery maximum. 

Driver eligibility is at the discretion of the race director. Any driver may be asked to switch classes at any time.

OUTLAW TRUCK: (10-26)

Any 2wd offroad Stadium truck based vehicle.

Using production truck arms.

Must use offroad style front bulkhead bolted directly to Chassis in stock location.

Rear or Mid Motor ok. 

After market towers ok.

Short or long shocks ok.

Internal limiters, pistons, springs, shock and oil changes allowed.

Rear Toe must be the same on both sides.

Offroad or oval stadium truck body. Cab high sideboard allowed from back of cab to end of rear spoiler. Max spoiler length 2".

13.5 blinky or Traxxas bl2s

2s battery, must remain in stock centered location.

TIRES & WHEELS:

Any 2.2 buggy rear tires or stadium truck tires. Offroad style 2.2 buggy rear wheels or 2.2 stadium truck wheels.

All 4 tires must be completely outside of body.

OUTLAW BUGGY: (10-26)

Any 2wd offroad buggy based chassis 

Must use offroad style front bulkhead bolted directly to Chassis in stock location.

Rear or Mid motor ok. 

OEM factory or direct replacement aftetmarket suspensions including bulkhead, shock towers, shocks and control arms.

2s lipo in stock centered location.

Internal shock limiters, oil, pistons and spring changes allowed.

Weight may be added.

Adjustable rear arms ok.

Must run one of the following....

1- 17.5/Blinky.

2-12t titan motor w/XL5 esc. 

3- traxxas BL2S combo.

4- Associated 3300kv combo #ASC7039.

No gearing limit.

Tires & Wheels:

2.2 offroad buggy wheels and tires only. 

Bodies: Any buggy, street stock, Modified or latemodel body made for 1/10 buggy based vehicles.

SPEC MOD: (10-26)

(slash mod and sport mod combined)

Traxxas slash 2wd only.

Any plastic Traxxas 2wd slash replacement parts. Low lcg or high chassis, HD or original arms, spindles, carriers ect ok. No cutting, grinding or modifying the factory suspension parts in any way.

Original trans or magnum 272 trans ok. Steel internal gears only. Traxxas slipper assembly and only. Any Traxxas 2wd Slash spur gear.

Any pinion size.

Original or HD plastic drive shafts ok. 

Ultra shocks or GTR shocks only. 

Traxxas springs only. Any rate. 

Aluminum shock caps OK.

Any shock oil or pistons.

Travel limiters ok.

BL-2S combo or 12t/xl5 combo only.

Fullsize 7.6v 2s 5500mah battery maximum. Mounted in center only.

Any Servo ok. With any Servo horn.

Any replacement bellcranks traxxas or aftermarket ok.

Any Midwest modified style body produced  for SC vehicles. Example: Traxxas Modified, CW Tornado, McAllister Dagger.

Any mount system ok.

TIRES: Any factory traxxas pre-mount wheel and tire made for 1/10 2wd slash.

bfg, kumho, spec or hoosier. No rally tires.

SUPER STOCK: (10-26)

“BOX STOCK” Traxxas 2wd Slash chassis HCG or LCG chassis only.

Traxxas heavy duty or rpm suspension parts ok. 

Electronics:

Traxxas XL-5 ESC and 12t Titan motor or BL2S Combo.

Traxxas 2075 steering servo only.

Any Servo horn ok.

Any radio and reciever ok. No gyros.

Battery:

Any (Long) Hard Case 2cell battery maximum of 5500mah (no shorty packs).

Battery must remain in it’s stock centered location. Moving Battery fore & Aft- OK.

Body:

Any full body stock car made for traxxas slash or SCT Only.

(ex: Shark rc /McAllister Rc ,Jconcepts).

Spoiler ok: No more than 1 1/2" from deck lid. No side dams or Spoiler supports.        

‘No Decking’ ,Windows must remain intact.

Adjustments:

Items you may adjust: Camber, front toe, ride height, shock oil, pistons, shock limiting, shock preload.

Arms must remain stock and in stock position. NO ADJUSTABLE REAR ARMS.

NO ALUMINUM PARTS other than shock caps.

Shocks:

Traxxas aluminum shock caps are allowed.

Stock Traxxas 2wd Slash shocks must be used (grey or black versions both allowed).

Front bodies and shafts stay in front - and rear bodies and shafts stay in rear.

Only original Traxxas 2wd Slash springs may be used. Front spring part #5857/P and rear spring part #5858/P.

Transmission:

Transmission case must remain stock. NO plastic internal gears. Traxxas steel gears only. NO RPM TRANSMISSION CASES.

Transmission functionality rule, motor cannot spin while turning slowly one rear wheel a full turn.

Gearing: Any traxxas factory 2wd spur gear is ok. Any size pinion gear ok.

Must maintain complete stock slipper assembly.

Tires: (NO SPEC TIRE)

Any 1/10 shortcourse wheels and tire.

Tires must be completely inside of body.

MUDBOSS: (10-26)

Hobbywing Justock ESC and 13.5  Motor,

Traxxas XL-5 with 12t Titan,

Or Traxxas BL2S system.

Any Hard Case ‘long’ 2cell battery* (No shorty’s allowed).

Any Servo, Servo saver or servo arm may be used. Aftermarket bell cranks OK.

Salvas or clone Mudboss body only.

Chassis:

Traxxas Slash 2wd LCG Traxxas chassis.

Custom Works adjustable rear control arms allowed. Part #3270.

RPM off-set compensating front control arms allowed. Part #70552.

Any traxxas Heavy Duty or RPM 2wd Traxxas Slash stock replacement parts are allowed.

NO aluminum, carbon fiber or graphite parts allowed. (Other than shock caps)

Front stock bumper, right side nerf bar/bumper and front body post brace must be removed. Left side nerf bar/bumper and rear bumper can be removed if desired.

Traxxas bandit front bumper can be used angled down. Part #2735.

Alterations to the chassis or modifications to the drivetrain/suspension components is not allowed.

Gearing:

Any pinion size.

Any Traxxas 2wd Slash stock spur gear 76/83/86/90 may be used with all transmission parts in place including the slipper. 

No modifications allowed to the stock transmission gearing. NO internal plastic gears allowed. Traxxas 2wd Slash steel transmission gears only.

Shocks:

Traxxas 2wd Slash plastic shocks ONLY. (grey or black version) (front shocks, bodies & shafts stay in front), (rear shocks, bodies and shafts stay in rear).

Aluminum Shock caps OK.

Only original Traxxas 2wd Slash front springs #5857/P and rear spring #5858/P are allowed.

Shock travel may be limited with internal shock spacers/shims.

Original pistons from Traxxas 2wd Slash kit ONLY (original 1, 2 or 3 hole). NO modifications can be made to shock pistons.

Wheels & Tires:

Any 1/10 Shortcourse wheels and tires.

SPEC SPRINT & (LOSI SPRINT): (10-26)

Any 1/10 gearbox sprint car with 13.5 Hobbywing Justock motor/esc combo.

2s battery,  any buggy wheel and tire.

LOSI SPRINT CAR with stock motor/esc. Open gear. Other upgrades ok. Any buggy wheel and tire.

MIDGET: (10-26)

National Midget Rules

With these exceptions...

- Any 2.2 buggy tire and wheel.

- Any axles.

- Any differential.

DWARF CAR: (10-26)

2WD SHORTCOURSE TRUCK: (10-26)

Open to Any 2wd short course offroad truck platform. Rear or Mid motor. 

Must have full fendered sc offroad style truck body.

1/10 shortcourse wheels and tires only.

Must run one of the following... 

1- 12t titan motor w/XL5 esc. 

2- traxxas BL2S combo.

3- Associated 3300kv combo #ASC7039..

4- ROAR legal 13.5 on blinky mode.

Any 2s lipo.

OPEN SHORTCOURSE: (10-26)

Any 2wd or 4wd shortcourse truck.

Open motor and esc.

Offroad truck, latemodel, street stock or modified bodies ok. 

2s battery only.

Traxxas Modified Hoosier shortcourse tires or any street tread shortcourse tire like the robber or jk racing tire. 

No spikes or pins of any kind.
